In two hundred years ago, Zheng era, the canal is a very important source of merchant ships into Tainan. Although it has been downhill, there are dragon boat race held still. History of contemporary Tainan, even cover Taiwan's, started from the canal. The distance between the canal and Wei (1) house B&B is only 10 minutes appx. on foot.
